ALSO I would like to remind everyone of an important part of Starfire’s character that was very dramatically changed for the original cartoon…
She does NOT learn languages through lip or tongue contact. Starfire can learn languages just by any type of physical contact. She kisses guys to learn their language because she thinks it’s more fun.

1. It wouldn’t have been in Tokyo
Like yeah, I get it, Teen Titans was a pseudo-anime and all the art was done by a Japanese guy and the opening was sung by a Japanese duet and whatever. BUT STILL. LIKE totally unnecessary baiting to the weeb fans. Like going to Tokyo was random and weird and I didn’t even find that aspect appealing as a kid so I can only see it as a way to make those anime-lovers wanna watch it more. But otherwise there is no justification for why they go to Japan :\
2. The non-RobStar Titans would’ve actually DONE something
I will never stop being angry at how the movie was basically: Robin and Starfire discuss their relationship while everyone else is comedy relief! Robin and Starfire kiss, Beast Boy flirts with asian girls, Raven…glares a lot, and Cyborg eats! Fantastic movie yep. Everybody does lots. Fat Japanese guy winks at Raven and she becomes a spokesperson for gum. Beast Boy thinks “otaku” means cute - people still reblog that quote cuz it’s jUST SO FUNNY HAHAha. Cyborg eats. He continues eating. Does he do anything besides fight and eat? That makes me sad, hello Cyborg is an awesome character.
3. Robin wouldn’t have gone back to his old habits
Like, he became overly obsessed with the villain to the point where he didn’t care about the other Titans. Sound familiar????? OHRIGHT THAT’S SEASON ONE WITH SLADE. Like wow okay how unoriginal can this movie fucking be?
Not to mention, what Robin and Starfire discussed about their relationship was discussed IN SEASON 4, “STRANDED”. Great episode. I love that episode. They could’ve just kissed in that episode that would’ve been fine with me! But nooooo, dramatic hug and redoing everything later.
Also, more ignored character development: Beast Boy and Raven. Oh man, it’s so great in the series when they learn to respect each other more. Let’s watch the movie! Oh, Beast Boy’s sticking his fingers up her nose! Oh, Raven bitchslaps him. These two. Such slapstick. So funny. Character development is unnecessary when it comes to humor.
Anyways, so what would I have done?Well, I’d probably use a villain we’d seen before! How about Blackfire? I adore Blackfire and she adds lots of RobStar tension. I mean, the last time we saw Blackfire, she was banished from Tamaran, so what’s stopping her from coming back to Earth?So definitely Blackfire would’ve been a better (if not the best) villain option rather than some boring, cheap, random villain!I don’t know how the usual RobStar fanfic works, but I’d like to imagine some situation here where Starfire has to lead the team to rescue Robin from Blackfire. Kidnapping/rescue is a pretty overdone way for people to get together, but it WORKS and I like it so I’m going with it!Okay so:The episode starts with Blackfire arriving on Earth, maybe looking super evil or in the shadows or something and saying some stuff in Tamaranian and it’s all badass-y and whatnot. She could even be dirty and messy or something.Then she dresses up like Starfire - tricks Robin, captures Robin. It’s a bad moment for him (I think he and Starfire should have a little fight prior to his capture! Yeah, that’s good. But it’s just a little thing. I dunno what about). Her demands are simple: she wants her exile to be removed. She wishes to return to Tamaran. Why? She’s not gonna share that information. Obviously, in all the Titan’s minds, she’s has some nefarious plot she needs to be on Tamaran to execute! So obviously Starfire is not gonna get her nanny to lift that ban (if that’s even possible, I don’t know enough about Tamaranian politics HAHA)So then there’s two big things going on: while Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy and Cyborg are working on how to get to Robin out, Robin both works on his own escape and interrogates Blackfire for information.But Blackfire isn’t dumb, not by a long shot, so he has a lot of trouble. But he definitely gets in plenty of shots to the point where Blackfire has to keep a starbolt aimed at his head to keep him from going anywhere.ANYWAYS, to the RobStar of everything - Blackfire, of course, will say so many condescending things about Starfire. That’s what she does. Robin gets angrier and angrier - how dare this bitch say such things, Starfire is awesome! Blackfire sucks. He tries to keep his cool ‘cuz he’s Robin and that’s what Robin does.I have no idea what plan the rest of the Titans would come up with, but I like Raven/Starfire bonding, so I say those two go one way and Beast Boy and Cyborg go another way. Everyone is smart and action-y and hardcore in this story.So, obviously whatever happens - Raven and Starfire get to wherever Robin and Blackfire are. They assess the situation, and Raven gets Blackfire away from Robin long enough for Starfire to get him up and ready, and then Blackfire is pissed as fuck cuz she’s really never dealt with Raven’s powers before - she didn’t know what to expect!Starfire and Robin have a romantic moment. Raven gets knocked down and Starfire glares angrily at her sister. This is when Beast Boy and Cyborg arrive and Cyborg checks on Raven as Beast Boy and Starfire do a double team attack cuz I don’t think I’ve ever seen them fight together!Anyways, yadda yadda, lots of fighting and banter and speeches, everybody gets some action, if they’re outdoors it can still be raining if you want. I dunno, whatever weather you want!Anyways, after the big fight, Blackfire is gone and hopefully/finally gone for good! And so they all celebrate! But then while Raven, Cyborg, and Beast Boy are doing whatever, Robin and Starfire are up on the roof!The roof because that’s where the first big RobStar moment of the series was, so…the last one should be, too! It’s cute and clever and people would make gifsets pointing it out.So they chat a bit and Starfire is so sorry that she caused all that trouble and Robin’s just like no way it’s not your fault your sister’s crazy - in fact she just makes you seem more and more amazing. And they smile at each other and it’s sunny and cute and they kiss as the sun sets and it’s precious and nice.And then they come back downstairs and Beast Boy and Cyborg are all like “where were you two??? WINK ;D” and Raven’s just reading ‘cuz it’s not her business and then the alarm goes off and Robin sees that some smalltime villain is robbing the bank and everybody looks at each other and Robin yells “Titans, GO!” and they head off to fight the baddies!And that’s it. Then it ends. I actually like this. Though I don’t know how some of the middle details would work, I’m sure there’s a fanfic out there that goes by almost this exact plot.This was fun.
