i see a lot of hate towards 50 shades of grey on my dash

totally understandable, from what I’ve heard about it (no way would I actually read it XD reading and me…nah. also paying for porn = NO)

but um

I realize the book misrepresents a safe bdsm relationship

but telling someone that they CANNOT be turned on by this

its just…no

okay, people cannot control what turns them on

a woman can be turned on by COMPLETE and TOTAL domination (ie rape/sexual abuse), rather than just bdsm

its not a good thing of course, but the fact is that its not something people can help

so you can tell them to “go find better written porn”, sure, but if theyre turned on by whats on those pages, THEN THATS PROBABLY WHAT TURNS THEM ON. telling them “nono, this is not what you want, you want something where the M is actually in control rather than the S”.

well fun fact: some people dont want that, okay?

IF they suggest that they want to actually practice it though - then you can warn them/advise them - but porn is porn and porn is harmless to those watching/reading it.
